Marketing Manager

We’re looking for an energetic and creative marketing and communications manager to spread the word about the company as we enter a new and very exciting chapter in our story.

This marketing role will be varied, and would suit an experienced mid-to-senior-level candidate who is looking for an exciting position and the opportunity to shape and implement our marketing strategy moving forwards. We like creative, intelligent and fun people who aren’t afraid to suggest their own ideas and then implement them. This role will be what you make it. In return we offer a supportive and encouraging working environment.

Sensum isn’t your usual b2b tech startup. What we do has a hugely consumer angle and so we get to work on some incredibly fun, innovative and ground-breaking projects with household brands such as Red Bull, Unilever, Jaguar XE. Our team could be in Malaysia running an interactive charity run one week or flying in a stunt-plane the next.

The finer points of the role will be shaped around the candidate who best fits our company culture. We believe in people first and foremost! But the core basics will involve developing and implementing ongoing marketing strategy, including content creation, pr, social media and website management. The candidate would ideally based full-time in our Belfast office, but we will consider remote working for more experienced candidates.

Content creation

    - Working with the Sales department to update sales and marketing collateral, ensuring that all collateral is on-brand, both in tone-of-voice and appearance.
    - Writing/publishing blog posts.
    - Developing digital content, such as videos and interactive demos, for website and online channels - with support from video, creative and front-end development team.

Events management

    - Researching new opportunities and third-party events.
    - Securing speaking opportunities at relevant industry events.
    - Managing our presence at each event, helping prep spokespeople and coordinating branding.
    - Promoting our involvement before and after each event.
    - Managing our own lead-generation events.

    - Securing regular coverage for company in relevant media.
    - Developing thought-leadership content and creative feature ideas to do so.
    - Liaising with the media: predominantly national science, media and marketing press.
    - Keeping media up to date with relevant company news.

Social media and digital asset management

    - Developing and managing social media strategy.
    - Constantly improving usability, design, content, traffic, and conversion.
    - Devising strategies to drive traffic.
    - Tracking conversion rates, and using insights to improve user experience.
    - Collateral/Content Marketing
    - Developing and managing digital B2B marketing campaigns for different audiences, with a focus on brand and product
    - Utilising a range of digital channels and techniques, including paid search, email, social media, SEO, display, and PPC

    - At least 3 years experience working in communications and marketing - either in an agency or in-house.
    - Outstanding written and oral communication skills – comfortable and confident writing content for media, social channels.
    - Multi-disciplined and able to work on various project types, including storyboarding, wireframing, illustrating, layout design, etc.
    - Confident speaking to people from all areas including journalists, customers, partners, psychologists and scientists.
    - Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communicator, organised and analytical with the ability to work well under pressure.

Bonus Points:

    - A strong interest in tech, emotions, psychology and people essential.
    - Sense of fun, creativity and passion is a must - we love new ideas and give people the flexibility and freedom to shape their own role.
    - Understanding of Google Analytics and CPC marketing useful
